Its a software testing practice that follows principles of Agile software development.
How Agile testing is different from the conventional waterfall testing?
- Testing is done in parallel to the development of an iterative model. In waterfall, testing is a phase that happens after the development phase.
- Testing team receives frequent code changes from the dev team for testing an app. In waterfall, Testing phase starts after the complete development phase is over.
- Timeslots are less in Agile testing compared to the waterfall.
- In Agile, test team works on small features. in waterfall, team works on the whole application.
Below are the phases of Agile Testing
- Impact Assessment – Gather inputs from the stake holders and users to get the feedback for the next deployment cycle
- Test Plan Meet up – All Stake holders come together to plan the schedule of testing process, meeting frequency and deliverables.
- Daily Standup – Team to catchup on the status of the testing and set the goals for the whole day.
- Review/Demo – Demo the tested modules to the stake holders
- Go-Live Approval meeting for the deployment/release – get the signoff confirmations from the testing team and get the go/no-go from the stake holders.
